18.11.09 Launch Event for the NW Leaving Care Contract for Externally Purchased Placements

The NW contract for externally purchased Leaving Care Placements was formally launched at an event at Haydock Park. The contract is now available for use by all member LAs and can be accessed here. The notes from the launch can be downloaded here.

29.07.08 Provider Management Information Report Published

A key element of the work of PNW has been to develop a better understanding of the commissioning practices through management information. To this end in the autumn of 2007 Placements Northwest undertook a census of the active out of authority placements of the 21 local authorities who are members of PNW. This census covered the placements with independent fostering agencies, residential care, and with independent and non-maintained special schools.

As part of it's commitment to working with providers the following Provider Report on the census has been published. The report can be downloaded here. .

18.07.08 Registration of Providers Begins

Registration of Providers by PNW on behalf of the 21 NW Local Authorities. The Registration process will start initially with providers that offer fostering services and then be extended to other service providers. An explanation of the Registration process can be found here and a list of frequently asked questions can be found here.

06.06.08 Residential and Fostering Organisation Registration Documents released for consultation

The Residential and Fostering Joint Working Groups have released the draft documents for organisational registration and can be read for fostering and residential. Minutes of the Joint Working Groups meeting for fostering can be read here and residential here.
